KMC is appointed by Oxford University Development (OUD), a joint venture between Oxford University and Legal and General, as transport consultant for the proposed Begbroke Innovation District.

It is a 190-hectare allocated site to the north of the centre of Oxford, which is allocated to bring forward nearly 15 hectares of employment as part of a world leading Innovation District as well as circa 2,000 new homes and supporting amenities and infrastructure.

The development of a sustainable transport strategy and encouraging a modal shift will be critical to the long-term success of the Begbroke Innovation District. The focus for Begbroke will be on promotion of a hierarchical transport strategy where walking and cycling are prioritised and where the networks are future proofed to accommodate new transport technologies.
