The redevelopment of Mercers Row, Cambridge, will deliver best-in-class mid-tech space to support economic growth and ‘Cambridge Phenomenon’. Promoted by Wrenbridge, the scheme will provide high-quality employment space with landscaping providing a much changed and improved streetscape.

Parking was a key consideration in the design, and KMC played a role in ensuring a car-light approach, which helped activate the street frontage and create more space for people.  KMC put forward a proposal that would allow a flexibility in the delivery of active travel measures, ensuring that the finial contributions sought by the authorities benefit the development to the fullest.

At Planning Committee, the Chair described the scheme as “as good as it gets for this type of building”.
